Felix in Nonwovens Industry’s Contract Service Manufacturers Review

In October 2010, Nonwovens Industry featured Felix Plastics in its "Contract Service Manufacturers Review", a guide to companies offering contract production to the nonwovens market.
The magazine identified breathable, textile-like backsheet as Felix’s main core competence, used as the outer layer of baby diapers, sanitary napkins and adult incontinence products. It also described our composite structures and laminates for disposable medical items such as gowns, table covers and absorbent materials, and for construction uses like house wraps and roofing covers, where breathable composites act as liquid barriers while controlling water vapour. UV-stable and flame-retardant versions could be developed to customer needs, with Felix working "as a research and development team with its customers."
Our contract services listed then included microporous films and nonwoven coating, lamination and converting. Today they extend to spunbond, SMS and SSMMS (10-100 gsm), meltblown, breathable film and ultrasonic, hot-melt and calender lamination, including toll lamination.
