Breathable film is produced by using cast film technology and they are gravured by the chillroll technology. Breathable films has barrier characteristics; and can withstand water column resistance starting from 100 cm h20 . Even though it does propose a liquid barrier since it has water resistance; breathable films can tranmist water water vapor 200 gr. WVTR 24 h/1m2 (200 gr. water vapor permeability 24 hours 1/m2) . Thus, it creates the breathable structure.
Breathable films can be produced in wide nano-porous or narrow nano-porous structures depending on the request. Films with nano-porous structure are usually used in applications like hygiene, medical, agricultural, geotextile, footwear, isolation, roof-house wrap, technical textile, and industrial composites. Through the nano-porous structures, one can determine the level of water vapor transition which also create the controlled water vapor transition, controlled vapor transition and aspiration.
Breathable films have barrier features which allows the transition of water vapor while it blocks the water transition itself.
